Hello Everybody,
It has been a quiet summer with the majority of my time being spent in Georgia with my daughter and family. I arrived back at the boat yard
in early October and began preparing the boat for its trip south for the winter. I also helped Trish, an old Biloxi friend, finish up repairs to her
hull. Everything went well and we launched the boat last Friday.

Saturday morning we had to wait for the tide to come in and float us off the
bottom at the boat yard and once underway we made it to just north of Orange Park and anchored for the night. Sunday I decided
to go into Palm Cove Marina, in Jacksonville Beach and wait out the Nor'easter forming just off the coast of Georgia. It proved to
be a smart decision. Being able to run the electric heater has made for a comfortable wait for the storm to pass. Having broadband
internet access has made the time go faster.
We will leave tomorrow morning and head to St Augustine. I should arrive in plenty of time to cook the miniature turkey (game hen) and maybe
catch a football game. From there we head to Daytona Beach Friday and Titusville by Saturday. I plan to travel each day till we get
to Vero Beach and layover for a day or two. Should be back in shorts by then. From there to Fort Pierce and on.
Ruby is starting to get use to being back on the water and finding all her napping spots.

While everyone is enjoying the
Thanksgiving holiday lets take time to thank all our soldiers, sailors and airmen
who
are away from home and loved ones.
Without their sacrifices none of us would be able to enjoy our blessings.
We are lucky to live in the
greatest country on earth. We need to be more thankful.
