Hi
Change in plans, I don't really have one (eat your hearts out), woke up with the sun peering in the hatch in Wright Creek. How did I know I was in Wright Creek, because it wasn't the Wrong Creek. Give me a break, we haven't been off the boat since last Saturday.
Headed out knowing their was some nasty weather ahead. Just before reaching Beaufort, SC it reared its ugly head. Just out of curiosity I fired up the radar to see how this stuff showed up on the screen. Yep, there it was plain as day. I radioed ahead to see if I could get into the downtown marina. The sweet voice on the other end assured me a spot for at least one night. (Weekend was booked up, busy tourist spot in the summer). The sky was black but looking at the radar there was a hole, right over the marina. (Flashback to running the radar on the Herks and picking our way through the worst stuff) the only problem here is you cannot duck or run when you have to stay in the channel.
With the marina in sight called and got docking instructions and had two gentlemen to assist me. Turns out one of them had been a Shrimper in Gulfport and moved here and eventually sold his Shrimp boat when the Chinese flooded the market with .40 shrimp. The rain held off until we were in and settled. Thank you Lord!
Ruby was estatic to be near land and quickly found her way to the cockpit to look around. Suddenly she crouched down when on the dock she spotted 3 ducks. Never seen anything like that and she was at a loss for Meow's.

Crouched behind the weather cloth, she sat there for some time before she must have decided they weren't worth the trouble. They just walked around not even concerned.
Looks like more of this same weather for the rest of today. Hopefully some of these people that were comming in here will be kept away by the rain and we can stay another day. If not we will move up to Battery Creek and anchor and maybe have some popcorn and watch a few movies.
Today is the last day on my med's and I am really feeling upbeat that we have the problem licked. I haven't had any recurrance since I started on the Cipro.
