Hello

Awoke this morning to the sound of thunder, a distant thunder for now. Lets see where are we? Ah yes the Solomons in the very liberal state of Maryland. (Had to throw that in). From just a casual glance while motoring in to the rear of Back Creek you would think that clearly half of the sailboats in the world are probably located between here and Baltimore. Anyway we dropped the hook just to the East of the Holiday Inn Marina. Those nice folks provide a dinghy dock and the usage of their dumpster for us cruising

folks passing through, for the low fee of $2 a day. Even I being gainfully unemployed can afford that. It leaves more $$ to spend in the Gourmet Grocery Store, called the yuppie place, (by some folks I met yesterday) just a short walk from the Holiday Inn. It was good to have some fresh produce, keeps the scurvy down as me friend Spencer says.

We will probably stay here for the weekend, looks like we are in for some serious rain today and it is the weekend. All those pent up, frustrated humans are just dying to get out and tear up the waters. As I say, Monday will be a better day. It is like my weekend, Mon-Fri.

Heard about the storm in the Gulf but am glad to see it will probably miss  the Mississippi coast. Might interrupt a social at the picturesque, and now famous Point Loma Marina.

PS. Jan I am smiling.
