Hello from the Solomons. Actually we haven't went anywhere but should be pulling up anchor and heading out in the morning for Annapolis. (Weather permitting, as always). But we have been burning the midnight oil, environmentally safe oil I will assure those of you who may be concerned. I decided to take advantage of the good phone connection I have here and work on updates to the web site. Actually the software Homestead provides lets me build the web pages offline and then go on line and download the completed product. Simple. The way I like it.

For those of you who either (1) didn't have geography in the 3rd grade, (2) never made it to the 3rd grade, (3) flunked geography in the 3rd grade, (4) can't stand geography or (5) its been over 50 years since you had geography (that's me) well you are in luck.  As someone who has toooooooo much time on their hands I have set up a page on the web site with a chart that will show you the location of these places we have been somehow managing to find.  (Thank God for GPS). So if you are still wondering where the Solomons are you are in luck. Click on this link http://liveaboardsvpapillon.homestead.com/Chartourcourse.html and you will be magically whisked away into the deep dark interior of the internet where you will (hopefully) find a nifty little chart that I have appropriately placed for your educational benefit. I will include this link in future emails when it has been updated. Now that's service, with a smile Ms. Jan.

Due to pent up demand I have posted the updates, with pictures for the travel log for the month of May on the web site http://liveaboardsvpapillon.homestead.com and for all you lighthouse aficionados I have added a special page on the lighthouses on the Bay that I have been photographing along the way  to include an inside tour of Drum Point Light which is now at the Calvert Marine Museum completely restored. I also have added new pictures to the Photogallery so head that way and you can see it all NEW Pix's, lighthouses and then quit your job and buy a boat and join me. Been having tooooooooo much fun for one person!

Actually I almost had the big "O" at the Calvert Marine Museum today. They have over 60 antique outboard motors on display all in  pristine condition. As an outboard mechanic, in a former life, it was something to see. From old merc's, johnsons, evinrudes, altos, west bends, sears, martins, motogo's, wizzards, clarkes, etc they have an outstanding collection. Wooden racing boats too. Jan as soon as I can get some of the pix's set up I will send them your way. Phillip might enjoy them.

Looking forward to getting to Annapolis the sailors Mecca. I guess I will have to bow to the West at sundown and with any luck  someone will blow a conch horn to properly end the day.
