Hello from Back Creek in Eastport/Annapolis Maryland. Well I finally have made it. And now what?? Had a
good trip up from the Solomons, (went by Cove Point Light and shot some pictures) and now that I am here,
other than being in Annapolis, I almost wish I was back in the Solomons. A lot more peaceful and tranquil there but then this is Annapolis.
I called today and West Marine has my new alternator in and North Sails has my new genoa so I am gonna
get in Emma and go spend some money tomorrow. The reason I anchored on Back Creek is both of these
places are on Back Creek and it would be a good walk from downtown Annapolis hauling those items neither of which is light and I would have to stop off for a cool one and might never make it back.
A lot of boats in here but I'm hoping it will thin out a little after Labor Day, up until the Boat Show in October.
I have decided to attend the "3rd Annual Southbound Cruisers Rendezvous" to be held in Baltimore on the 9-11 of September. From there its back to Deltaville for an Island Packet Low Bay Rendezvous and after that I will probably need a vacation. Life is a reach and then you jibe. (A little sailors lingo there). Ruby is having to get use to something different. This time it is sailboats sailing through the anchorage. Lot of sailing going on up here. Sails flapping, people shouting jibe, hard alee, come about. Got her a nervous wreck.
Here is something for you to contemplate. At what point does a sailor cease to be a sailor and become a voyager?

I see where they have a little activity in the Caribbean. I get my email updates from the weather service just like clockwork. Amazing how they can find you where ever you are.
