Hello from frosty South Carolina . Sometime yesterday we crossed over the border into South Carolina. We marked the occasion by removing the state flag of NC and hoisting the state flag of SC. We spent last night in Little River at the Cricket Cove marina. There are just not any good anchorages in these woods so we donate to the local economy when we can. Today we made the short run 32 miles to Bucksport, SC which is like located about 13 miles from Georgetown on the Wacamaw River. We have reservations in Georgetown tomorrow but rather than anchor in the river pulled into the Bucksport Plantation Marina. It is suppose to get down near freezing tonight and I wanted to make sure Ruby stays warm with the electric heater running. Seems we just can't keep far enough ahead of the cold. The Keys are going to feel mighty good this winter.
I plan on laying over in Georgetown a couple of days. I bypassed it on the way up and it is one of my favorite places to stop from my previous trip in the early nineties.
I posted some more pictures today and added a page of the pictures of my Niece and her family, in case you missed them. GO to http://liveaboardsvpapillon.homestead.com/Chartourcourse.html to check it out. I also added a new chart which will get us to St Simon, GA.
