Hello to all. Today if you were looking for us you would find us nestled down inside Vero Beach harbor. Our trip from Miami to Lake Worth, offshore, went ok. When we got up at 0400 to head out, the winds were 18-22 out of the East. We went back to bed. At 0800 the winds were 15-17 out of the East. Much better but with the shorter day we opted to go into Lake Worth and anchor. The next morning we left about 0800 and went back offshore and made Ft. Pierce by about 1530. We made the run with Mike on Consort. He left us in Ft Pierce after we spent 3 days there waiting out a strong cold front. Mike is heading to Maine where he lives and hopes to get there by mid June. Hopes. While in Ft Pierce we spent the time with Dave and Donna, who we met in Marathon. They have an apartment there in Faber Cove where we were anchored. Unfortunately the apartments where they live have been sold and are being bulldozed to make way for some (more) luxury condo's. It also means he will have to move his boat since the marina he keeps it in is tied to the apartment complex. What a bummer. Anyway we had a good time and as usual hated to leave good friends.
I made the short run to Vero Beach. I am having some electrical problems and will have to make sure everything is ok before pressing on. The voltage regulator on the engine is acting up.
Our next stop should be Coco Beach and then on to Titusville.
