We have arrived in Jacksonville. The 25 mile trip down the St. Johns River went quickly with a flood tide and 15 knots of wind helping to push us along. We had a lots of help getting into our slip at Whitney's Marina. The staff and boaters here are a real helpful lot. This is our second trip to stay here.

My brother and his wife met us with wine and cheese, reminiscent of Elizabeth City, NC and the Rose Buddies. Also I finally got to meet Wanda. Wanda has a friend that I met in Marathon and she introduced us and we have been emailing for a month or more. A real nice lady and someone to spend some time with while I am here.

Tomorrow I pick up a rental car, put Ruby in the "Kitty Spa" and head to Biloxi. Will be visiting with friends and taking care of a little business. I also plan to meet up with my daughter and her family since they will be on the coast on a house hunting trip. They are being transferred to Keesler from Oklahoma.
