We have departed Jacksonville. The time was spent between the Gulf Coast visiting friends (so many friends, so little time) and we did not make it around to see everybody but I tried. I did manage to spend some quality time with my daughter and her husband and step daughter Deanna. Deanna was so gracious to provide me a comfortable place to stay in Ocean Springs. Thanks Deanna and Mike for everything. Once I returned to Jacksonville I was able to spend a little time with Wanda, who I met through friends of hers that I met in Marathon while I was there. Life is good. So many great people in this world and I am blessed to know a lot of them.
We dropped the hook in Fernandina Beach, FL for the night after a long trip back out the St. Johns River. A shower and glass of wine makes everything look a lot different. We will spend the next several days wandering through the great state of Georgia and should reach South Carolina by weeks end. Our end goal for the immediate future is Lilly Creek. Tom, Donna, Charlie and Lori have a big 4th of July bash planned. Ruby and I are looking forward to seeing everybody in Portsmouth again and hanging out with our awesome friends on Lily Creek.
