After a quiet night in Fernadina Beach we decided to move to Cumberland Island, Ga to get away from the smell of the paper mill in Fernadina. Plus there was no breeze and it was getting a little warm. Turns out to be a good move. Anchored off of Cumberland Island we had a 10-12 knot sea breeze and fresh air.
Sunday I went ashore to explore the Island which is a National Park. I spent most of the morning hiking around the Island and visiting the Carnegie Dungeness ruins. I took some pictures and you can view them on the web site at (copy and paste) http://liveaboardsvpapillon.homestead.com/Cumberlandsound.html or you can go to the home page and click on Photo Gallery and there is a link to the Cumberland page at the bottom.
We are anchored for the night in Wally's Leg off of the MacKay River in Ga. We are about 130 miles south of Beaufort, SC which will be our stop over for the Memorial Day weekend.
