Departed Beaufort at 0900, we had to wait for the bridge at Lady's Island. It is locked down from 7-9 and I was not about to get up before 7. Don't want to start any bad habits. Plus it was raining. So I put on the foulies and headed up the river. Once the rain stopped it turned into a pleasant day. We have anchored for the night in Church Creek. We are about 20 miles south of Charleston, SC and I don't plan on stopping over (unless I change my mind tomorrow). I have a couple of side trips I would like to make when I reach North Carolina and would rather use the time there. Ruby settled back into her travel routine. She enjoyed our stay in Beaufort. She even let three little girls come by for a visit, and pet her. That is a first. She usually hides at the site or sound of childrens of any size.
