N 34¡ 42.87 W 77¡ 39.83 We have moved northward and unable to send an update because my cell phone can't access the Sprint Net in this area. I am currently in Bellhaven, NC and using a phone line in the marina restuarant to send this update.

We spent several days in New Bern, NC and from there took a trip down the Pamlico River to vist the historic town of Bath, NC. Bath is North Carolina's oldest city. A large place, pop 250, it did not take long to visit everyone in town. We left this morning and managed to sail, yes I said sail, all the way into Bellhaven. Been a while since I was able to go from one port to another under sail. It was great to have the peace and quiet. Ruby joined me in the cockpit for the trip. She usually stays below when the engine is running. Tomorrow we will go up the Alligator River and head towards Elizabeth City, NC. From there it is through the Dismal Swamp and on to Norfolk, VA.
