We arrived in Marathon, our winter
base just before Christmas and have been spending the last week getting
oriented to being back in the grove. First I had to dig all my shorts out
and get properly dressed. I put a hen on the grill that I had marinated
with a home made cajun marinade and it was delicious. As good as Emerill could
do.
I volunteered to do taxes for the AARP folks
again this year and we start tax class next week. It lasts for about 2
weeks and we start work the first week of February.
I also have been getting the dinghy rigged up
so I can sail her around the harbor.
Mike, a friend I met here last year, has been
here since mid November and had a cold beer waiting for me when I arrived. It
was good to see him and others that work and live here year around.
Took this picture yesterday at sunset off the
stern. Another lousy day in the Keys.
