Rhythm & Rain
New Look, Same Great Taste!

MS Gulf Coast--Coastal duo Rhythm & Rain continues to be enjoyed in area venues
but expect a different face along with a refreshingly full sound courtesy of new
drummer Frank Bridges.
Frank has been a musical icon here on the Mississippi Gulf Coast for the past 24
years with bands such as Coast, Rumors, Foreplay, The Tropical Steal Band, Dino
Casino, and most recently, Ethnix among many others.  “Frank brings such an added
dimension to Rain’s vocals and signature guitar playing style”, says Susan Barnes of
the Towns Around Biloxi Parrothead Club.  “It is like adding color to a black and white
TV.”  Frank Bridges brings his seasoned talents to the stage in jazz, rock, techno, pop,
dance, funk, country, island, and big band.  “Just amazes me what an incredible talent
Frank Bridges is.” stated Rain.  “Everyone who hears the demo goes nuts. First they
want to know how many people are playing, then they ask if  it really is live. (is it live or is it memorex).”
Its the familiar 70s and "Buffettesqe" tunes everyone loves from Rhythm & Rain and
the memories they refresh, but with Frank on drums it no longer sounds like 3 people
on stage when its only 2.... it now sounds like 12 people on stage.
This Roland "Handsonic" drum that Frank plays is amazing.  Using this unique
percussion multi-pad, Frank triggers amazing drum sounds by hand.  With a choice of 300 internal sounds playable from any of 15 pads—plus performance features like dual
ribbon controllers, three realtime modifier knobs, and the radical D-Beam controller—the HDP-15 "handsonic" has set a new standard in electronic percussion.  Frank plays the parts of an entire drum and percussion ensemble easily with just his fingers, palms, and feet.   All live with no pre recorded loops or sequences.

Coastal favorite Rain has signed on as an Endorsing Artist for CA Guitars of
Lafayette,  LA.  He is playing their Legacy AE model with Vintage Voicing.  CA
Guitars is a guitar company which applies aerospace Advanced Materials Technology
to stringed instruments.  CA Guitars are 100% U.S. made.
